Hubs Software Update 2024-12-06

Hello everyone 👋
The Hubs Foundation is pleased to announce this update for the Hubs Client, Community Edition, and the Blender add-ons.

What’s new?

• The bugs with physics and object manipulation have been fixed. 🥳
  • Revert scene grabbables support
• Doug Reeder’s Web Share API features:
  • Invites & sharing Room URL use Web Share API if available
  • HUD Invite button: fixes by calling Web Share API directly
  • Adds Share button to picture and video items in Chat
  • Scene page: replaces ‘Share on Twitter’ w/ ‘Share’ (using Web Share API)
• The scene grabbables support has been moved from the main Blender add-on back to the behavior graphs Blender add-on and a bug has been fixed with one of its components.
  • Remove scene grabbables/physics support
  • Restore scene grabbables/physics support
  • Fix potentially adding a duplicate component when migrating the grabbable component
• Community Edition has been set to pull docker images from the “reticulum” docker repository instead of the “ret” docker repository.
  • Use reticulum instead of ret as the docker repository to pull the Reticulum image from
• Additional convenience commands have been added to Community Edition.
  • Adds scripts for usual steps
• There have also been some improvements to the Community Edition readme.
  • Update Community Edition readme with Kubernetes management docs.

Note: You will also need to update the Community Edition deployment scripts, so make sure to start with that. The deployment scripts are listed after the image update instructions, but the deployment scripts have to be updated first.
